Belgian Official Gazette: consult and publish (complete guide)

What is the Belgian Official Gazette?

The Belgian Official Gazette is the official publication that gives legal force to State texts: laws, royal decrees, but also the acts of legal entities. Every Belgian company or non-profit has its incorporation and amendment acts published via the Annexes to the Gazette.

Searching for a publication in the Gazette

To consult a company's acts, use the legal-entities search on the official Gazette website, by name or by enterprise (CBE) number. Identification data (registered office, directors, articles) are also available via the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises.

Publishing a company act in the Gazette

Publication is mandatory for incorporating a company, changing the registered office, manager, articles, or for dissolution. It is done via the enterprise court registry (often through a notary for authentic deeds). Expect publication fees of around €100 to €300 depending on the act type.

The Gazette and non-profits (ASBL)

Non-profits (ASBL) must also publish their articles, the list of directors and any changes in the Gazette. Since the reform of the Companies and Associations Code, non-profit formalities are close to those of companies and go through the business counter and registry.
